Cultivating Our Family

Oh Father, summer has found us once again and along with it comes lots of business.  Remind us often that growing our family is much more important than growing sweet potatoes and corn.  Uprooting sin and selfishness is more valuable to you than mending to the weeds in our gardens and flowerbeds.  Raising a Godly seed is more significant than raising a barn.  Being watchful of everything we allow into our hearts and minds is just as critical as the wholesome food  we are purposing to incorporate into our diet.

Father, keep our vision wide and our expectations low.   May we not focus  merely on today but fix our eyes on eternity.  Help us to remain generational minded, knowing that the outpouring of ourselves into these six little souls will impact the generations to follow.  Give us the strength, Lord, to stay grounded on the truth that you have clearly shown us as we tread against a vigorous current.  Thank you Father for the opportunity to cultivate this family.  We are grateful for the continual process of growth, reliance and faith in a mighty God.  Lord, we ask believing and will give you all the glory!

"Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."  John 6:27

Your photography is beautiful and you capture the simple joys of life so well! Thanks for always being a Godly role model for other mothers, especially me, and helping us know we don't stand alone. Love you!!!
