Preparing For Opening Weekend

This weekend we have some amazing people coming out to the camp to give us a hand at re-opening.  We will be opening every building and making sure they are clean, working in the flower beds, cottage owners will be getting their cottages ready to be used, and of course fellowship along with some really good food.

To end the weekend there will be the annual Camp Sharing Banquet.  This is a time where some will share how God has used this camp in their lives as well as a time to cast a vision for its future.  This weekend is not limited to cottage owners.  If you'd like to join in on the fun, we can do our best to accommodate you.

Before everyone comes there are a few things that need to be done.  Yesterday Rylie, Lillie and I washed all the trays, silver ware, and cups while Bailie mowed and helped with the younger children.

Here are some pictures that I took to capture our washing day.

The girls did an awesome job at keeping the trays stacked and the machine running.  I was busy trying to keep up with them.

We tried really hard to convenes the young ones that they wanted to take a nap on the {freshly painted} floor.  They didn't catch on very quick and thought it was a time to play.  It did keep them busy for a while. :)

Stay tuned for how we play after working so hard.

Thanks for all the hard work you put into the camp. I know there are a lot of things your family does that are really never seen.

The children are really learning the meaning of being a servant. What a blessing!
