Kettle Time

It's that time of the year again, although we don't remember making kettle corn all bundled up before.  This weekend the camp had it's first over-night guest for this season.  That means we were all bustling with energy this week getting some more buildings ready.  The older children were a tremendous help to us.  Some of them worked side by side with us or helped watch over their younger siblings.  The Lodge aka The Hotel was swept out and dusted.  The lodge bathrooms were completely cleaned.  Jeff worked on putting epoxy on the cafeteria floor and Dave {a gentleman that is staying on the grounds for a few weeks and helping in anyway needed} has been working on new trashcans and lids along with other miscellaneous projects.

When the group showed up tonight we were pleasantly surprised to find out that they heard Jeff makes kettle corn and asked if he would make them some.  Of course he was delighted to and so was the rest of the family.  They love any excuse to be able to join in on some fun and fellowship at the camp.

Tonight was a delightful treat to finish off the busy week.

***For those of you who are planning on attending the Cottage Owners Weekend next Friday - Saturday, Jeff has the kettle all seasoned and ready to fire up!  Just because you don't own a cabin doesn't mean you can't come...we'll find something for you to do.  *smile*  I know the Warner's are really looking forward to being with all of you wonderful people who help make this camp such glorious place!***
